A New Chapter for A Cincinnati Classic

Moonlite Gardens began as a beloved open-air dance pavilion at Coney Island in 1925. Known for big band performances and summer nights under the stars, it became a cherished part of Cincinnati’s cultural history.

Today, Moonlite Gardens has been reimagined in Mount Adams—not as a music venue, but as a celebration of art, beauty, and historic preservation. Set within an 1876 row house, the home features original architectural details, curated regional artwork, and a location just moments from downtown and the riverfront.

Our mission is to offer an exceptional stay that blends the elegance of the past with the ease of modern living. Whether you’re exploring the city’s vibrant cultural scene or simply unwinding in a one-of-a-kind setting, Moonlite Gardens invites you to make lasting memories in the heart of Mount Adams.

architectural Significance

The home’s architecture reflects the grandeur and craftsmanship of the late 1800s, with elegant details that evoke the romance and sophistication of the era. At its heart is the original three-story winder staircase, spiraling gracefully through all floors and illuminated by a central skylight. High ceilings, intricate moldings, and timeless finishes transport guests back in time, offering a rare opportunity to experience the charm of a bygone age.

Personalized Cincinnati Experience

As your hosts, we’re here to help you experience the best of Cincinnati. From our doorstep, stroll to the Cincinnati Art Museum, Playhouse in the Park, and Krohn Conservatory—or explore Mount Adams’ charming streets and lively dining scene. We’re happy to provide personalized recommendations tailored to your interests so you can uncover the city’s hidden gems.

Moonlit Garden

One of our favorite features is the tranquil garden—perfect for al fresco dinners or evening cocktails under the stars. Surrounded by lush greenery and bathed in moonlight, this peaceful outdoor space offers a serene retreat after a day of exploring.

A Curated Art Exhibit

Moonlite Gardens also serves as a living gallery, showcasing original works by notable Cincinnati artists. The collection includes:

  • Abstract expressionist acrylics by William Fred Arrowood

  • Vivid pieces by Suzzanna ‘Sanna’ Frank

  • Dynamic paintings by Robbie Kemper

  • Innovative mixed media by Milagros Pongo

  • Two offset lithographs by John Stobart, including The Queen City of the West in 1876—the year this home was built—and a piece commemorating the 1990 World Series champion Cincinnati Reds

This evolving collection highlights Cincinnati’s rich artistic legacy while complementing the historic elegance of the home.

Historic Furnishings & Artistic Legacy

Antique furniture and local art enrich the ambiance throughout. A standout is the late 19th-century marble and walnut center table on the third floor, positioned beneath the home’s central skylight. Carefully selected pieces, including original Weller Pottery, nod to Cincinnati’s renowned tradition in fine ceramics and craftsmanship.
